Taking the thoughts of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Mahatma Jyotiba Phule, Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj and Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar… as standard, the foundation of progressive thought was planted in Maharashtra on June 10, 1999. Sharad Chandra Govindrao Pawar: A visionary leader who shaped the future of India and the political landscape of Maharashtra! 

1. Natural oil deposits found in Mumbai sea area. Hon MP. Pawar Saheb has made a great contribution in starting industries based on it in Maharashtra.
 
2. Sanctioned 140 acres of land in Pune to build houses for the nomads of the state.
 
3. Established Yashwantrao Chavan Open University at Nashik for those who work while learning.
 
4. By setting up Hinjewadi IT Park, many international companies along with national companies have been given an opportunity for business expansion. This contributed to the transformation of not only Maharashtra but the entire country.
 
5. Horticulture program in the state was implemented by Pawar Saheb. This program was so successful that the central government also implemented it.

6. Kabaddi was included in the Asiad tournament in Beijing only because of the efforts of Sharad Pawar.
 
7. National sports competitions were organized in Pune. At that time, Shiv Chhatrapati Krida Sanku Was built by working round the clock in just 11 months.

24. ICAR has started three new institutes of reputed university status namely 'National Institute on Biotic Stress Management (Baramati), 'Indian Institute of Biotic Stress' (Raipur) and 'Indian Institute of Agricultural Biotechnology' (Ranchi).

Pawar saheb created a distinct identity of Maharashtra in the industrial world by setting up large MIDC projects in many places in Maharashtra like Hinjewadi, Chakan, Talegaon, Ranjangaon, Shirwal, Kurkumbh, Khandala. Later MIDCs expanded and today 289 MIDCs are functioning across Maharashtra. The factories of reputed companies like textiles, food processing along with the automotive sector of TAP are located in this place. This not only solved the problem of employment, but the cities also developed on a large scale and improved the living standards of the locals.



 

26. Through Hinjewadi IT Park, employment opportunities were provided to lakhs of youth across the country. 

27. Hon MP. Pawar saheb created a planned international city like Navi Mumbai. 

28. At the time of the Killari earthquake in 1993, Pawar Saheb immediately took up the work of rehabilitation of the earthquake victims by camping at the incident site. And set a unique example of disaster relief in times of crisis to the whole world.

29. During his tenure as the Defense Minister of the country, he took a historic decision to reserve 11 % seats for women in all the three places of Army, Navy and Air Force. 

30. Women got the opportunity to serve the country shoulder to shoulder with men in the army and to become officers.

31. 1993 State Women's Commission was established by Hon MP. Pawar saheb when he was the Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Maharashtra was the first state to establish an independent commission for women.

33. Hon MP. Pawar saheb gave the largest loan waiver of 71 thousand crores in the history of the country and saved 4 crore 33 lakh farmers of the country and

35. The National Development Council met for the first time after independence on agricultural issues. Hon MP. Pawar saheb gave share capital of thousands of crores to each state for the development of agriculture sector.

36. It is because of Hon MP. Pawar saheb that every year the central assistance of thousands of crores is received from the center to complete the dam works under the Irrigation Enhanced Development Program (AIBP).

37. The Gosikhurd project in Vidarbha got national recognition and 90% funding was given from the center thanks to Hon MP. Pawar saheb

38. Hon MP. Pawar saheb started the program of plantation of fruit orchards all over the country through the National Horticultural Mission and the Drip Irrigation Scheme started receiving huge subsidies from the Centre.

39. Hon MP. Pawar saheb accelerated the watershed development program by implementing the mega watershed program across the country.

40. He devised a new plan for the food processing industry and set up a major project in each district and developed processing factories.

41. Made the country self-sufficient in food grain production by exporting grain to 25 countries and satisfied their hunger for food.

42. Hon MP. Pawar saheb did the work of sending lakhs of crores of rupees surplus from the base price to the farmer's house by giving as much importance as the food grain self-sufficiency of the country to the economic upliftment of the farmer.
 
43. Between 2004 and 2014, the base price of wheat increased by 122 %, the base price of soybeans increased by 118 %, the base price of gram increased by 121 %, wheat production increased and wheat exports started and Pawar Saheb met the food needs of the entire world.

50. After Kerala's inability to fund the Konkan Railway when Pawar Sahib was Chief Minister, Maharashtra took over the responsibility.
